Carjacking gangsters shot dead


SUBANG JAYA: Two members of a notorious armed robbery streamyx mail known as “Gang Jack”, responsible for at least 40 carjackings nationwide, were killed in a shootout yesterday.

The two, including streamyx login gang leader, were killed when they retaliated against police warnings to surrender when cornered in Jalan USJ 22/1 in USJ here. The dead were identified as Rizlan Ahmad Tajuddin, 35, and Mohamed Fadzil webmail streamyx 34.

Police seized a semi-automatic pistol loaded with three .45 caliber rounds and seven more bullets from inside their car.

Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm II Hasnan Hassan said the two were in a Toyota Vios waiting to hijack a car in the area when police officers from the Selangor serious crimes division approached them. Police identified themselves, but the two rammed their vehicle into the police car before opening fire.

“Police returned fire, killing one of them on the spot while the other died while on the way to the hospital after the 2pm incident,’’ he said.

Describing “Gang Jack” as extremely violent and trigger-happy, SAC Hasnan said police records showed that one of the gang members was also involved in hijackings in the Klang Valley and other states with a take amounting to well over RM1mil.
